THE SPIRIT OF INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY

"Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying: 'See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship." Exodus 31:1–5 (NKJV)

Dear Christian Entrepreneur,

The story of Noah and the ark reminds us that God desires us to achieve the impossible in our businesses. Noah, a man of great grace and faith, was instructed by God in Genesis 6–9 to build an ark, something he had never seen before. Yet, through obedience, Noah brought to life an invention that had never existed.

This is God’s desire for us as Christian entrepreneurs—to walk closely with Him and bring forth ideas, products, and solutions that have never been seen before.

In Exodus 31:1–5, we see that with the Spirit of God, we are equipped with wisdom, understanding, and craftsmanship to create things that are extraordinary. God has filled us with the ability to innovate, just as He did with Bezalel, who was called to design and create artistic works.

So, what unique product are you developing? What new service are you offering? What innovative solution are you providing to meet human needs? These are the questions God asks us in the marketplace.

As you conduct your business today, remember that you are not alone. God is with you, guiding and inspiring you to innovate. He has endowed you with the skills, wisdom, and understanding needed to fulfill His will in your business.

Embrace the creativity God has placed within you. Seek His guidance in every step, and trust that He will lead you to create something extraordinary. The world is waiting for the unique contributions that only you can make.

Prayer for the Day:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gifts and talents You have given me. Help me to use them wisely and creatively in my business. Guide me as I bring new ideas, products, and solutions to life. Fill me with Your Spirit and grant me the wisdom and understanding I need to fulfill Your purpose in the marketplace. May my work glorify You and be a blessing to others. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Scriptures for Further Reading:

  1. Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV): "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert."

  2. Colossians 3:23 (NKJV): "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters."
